This new 11,000 SF Music Business Building will serve as office, classroom and recording studios for the University’s School of Music.

The building's structure is comprised of two story steel framing over concrete grade beams and slab-on carton form foundation.   The exterior façade consists of brick and cut stone with residential style door and window openings.  Slate facsimile shingles comprise the roofing material and are placed over pre-fabricated light gauge metal framing and steel decking.

Interior space includes classroom and office spaces.  Recording spaces contain state-of-the-art design for the isolation of vibration and sound transmission.  Slab areas within the recording areas will be “floating”, and staggered framing techniques will be utilized in the framing of wall systems.   Specialty cable chases are provided throughout for ease and accessibility for all rerecording functions.
